Addiscombe Members Club Circuit Race - 16th July

Cyclopark at Gravesend is booked from 12 to 3pm on Saturday 16th July. I've yet to decide the race format.
We've run two separate races in the past. But I'm open to ideas.
I'll post full details in April, once decided and registered with BC.

How about a 100 person mass start, nothing could possibly go wrong.

Is there an appetite for a B race ?
More than happy to run one.

The A race format will simply be an hour plus two laps starting at 1.40pm. Entry fee is £5. An additional charge of £5 is payable if you don't have a BC licence. Majority of the track will be available for a warm up prior start. We'll do a B race if there is interest starting at similar time but shorter distance.
The B race would be roughly 40 minutes in total.

I will be entering the B group and I am hoping for some competition - if you've never raced before and want a taster in a relatively protective closed environment, or if you have raced but not for some time - this is ideal. You don't have to be super fast - sometimes the race splits and there are competitions within competitions - at worst it can be a solo workout cheered on by family and friends. The course has only one sharp bend and is sometimes windy so hiding in the wheels can be effective. There are showers and easy parking. Ben does a great job in organising it for us please come along to support but preferably to ride.

I think we've always worked on the basis that you can race as a 2nd claim member but wouldn't win the championship.

I'll be riding out but getting there early but happy to ride back with anyone.

That's awesome, thanks. Yes that is how it has been when I've ridden before as 2nd claim. I've been off the bike for a week so not feeling the sharpest anyway!

This is exactly how it's been in previous years when I've ridden - but like I say, not sure there's any danger of that tomorrow!
