TransPortugal 8 day mtb stage race

Back in May I took part in this event i had no experience of stage racing, but was keen. Crossing Portugal in 8 days, north to south; finishing in Sagres – the southern west point of Europe; 1000 km of off-road racing across forest tracks, gravel roads and steep single tracks on clifftops.

in spite of rain each day base the last and stage 3 cancelled due to snow on the mountain i was glad to have taken part and finished 63rd out of the 108 entrants 6 of whom were women
