Crystal Palace: Here's what its like

Are you thinking about starting racing? Ask about future events in here, find out what you can expect at them and who else is going so you can scrounge a lift off someone rather than riding the 30 miles to get there yourself!

Its really interesting Sylv.
1. Saddo that I am I tried to count your cadence on the climb - roughly 60rpm.
2. I think that last lap took 2mins 5 secs to complete.
3. You're all well and truly knackered and I reckon you were soft pedalling most of the way around except for on the climb.
4. Your final time around the hairpin looks positively leisurely - chasing the out of sight Warrick Spence ain't no joke!
5. The bike camera guys jump on the climb was pretty impressive.
6. Witness London Dynamo's Sam Humpheson glance back before putting in that dig to claim 4th spot. Cool peice of footage :D

Sorry Kenwood :D . We'll call it a tie due to competing in different disciplines  . We can ask Joyce to judge the smoothest 11 hours in to the 12 hour for a winner.

I noticed at Palace that with Sylv even when he's absolutely knackered towards the end of the E/1/2 race, he still looked the same as at the start. No sign of distress on his face at all. That must really annoy the competition  .

seen this one?

http://www.sleepingbearproductions.co.u ... SlowMo.wmv

not entirely sure who is at fault. look closely at andrew bye (who crashed)'s front wheel, it slips a bit before the contact with the other guy (who did weave a bit, but it seems they both did).

he's not doubting about who is at fault though:

He may have a point, although I don't think he can really claim it was intentional, certainly doesn't look it.

So his suggestion that the other rider should pick up the bill? Well... I think we all know what BC would say.

Have to agree the jump is impressive (will have to try that this year!), the rest doesn't look that fast (maybe it wasn't on that final lap).

Toks with your eagle eye did you spot my switching from hoods to drops and Mick Bell's "on the hoods" sprinting position

Yeah I did, by the way you remember where you finished, did you beat the guy in red and white or the Dynamo guy who pulled away just after the hairpin?

Fantastic video, top posting. I went there on Sunday to ask where the racing is held. They told me that there has never been cycling at the CP. Some people are just in the wrong jobs
