surrey league

Are you thinking about starting racing? Ask about future events in here, find out what you can expect at them and who else is going so you can scrounge a lift off someone rather than riding the 30 miles to get there yourself!

Hello all,
Im a new member to addiscombe and have ambitions to race again although fast approaching vet status and had 15 years off the bike, I managed to finish a 4jw race at the weekend but sat in most of the way.I would like to enter some Surrey league races and was wondering if the club has to register riders in order to EOL? Can anyone advise.

If you want to race in the Surrey League you are supposed to join the league. This year it costs £15. An application form is available at http://www.surreyleague.co.uk (you'll need a photo as well). In theory you should send this to Paul Tunnell so he can coordinate things but last year I just turned up at one of the events and handed in the registration form to Keith Butler when I was signing on without any problem.
If you only want to try a race it may be that they will let you race without registering - Keith Butler is pretty helpful.

I entered On-the-Line at the Norwood Hill race last year, as a private
and paid for a day licence too. Only just made it though.
It's always worth getting your name down beforehand.
