Cycling has done and continues to do more to eradicate cheating than any other sport I believe. I cannot think of any other sport which is so much under the spotlight. Here in moto2 Westy is banned for ONE month.

The UCI which has like many other sport governing bodies been complicit in marketing their sport in whichever way and by whatever means they see fit to increase revenues for themselves and the stakeholders. They are run by politicians who will always care more about themselves than the organisation they run.

If I were Lance I would be very unhappy with the the UCI for sanctioning USADA's ruling and dumping him from a great height. They each made allot of money for each other and were all in it together along with many others.

He therefore has the power to bring them down and possibly help with any criminal investigation that would ensue.

Like all the other cheats whom have been caught and have decided to point the finger at others for their own benefit maybe he should do the same.

Rumours going around that Lance will come clean in exchange for being allowed to compete in triathlons. I can't see it myself - he'd have some mighty big lawsuits to settle and a probable perjury charge.

Not sure I agree with Fotheringham here. The classic Oprah tearfulness, pleading victimisation or being on the defensive at all would seem bizarrely out of character.

And it seems too late to bang out the same story and far too early to ask for redemption.

I'm guessing swiftly blaming someone else, followed by a new charitable initiative.

Or he goes down the medical route i.e get some doctor to say you have a certain condition, which you have had to cope with , battle since childhood, use the latin name to confuse etc. Then blame the decisions on this. Then some how bring in religion, to bring forward the idea of redemption.

Paddy Power odds on Lance's appearance on Oprah :)

these are all real!

To confess to using banned performance enhancing drugs during his cycling career 1/6
To cry tears during the interview 4/9
To accuse another professional cyclist by name of taking performance enhancing drugs illegally 3/1
To be interviewed in a room with the framed yellow jerseys 3/1
To deny outright that he has ever used performance enhancing drugs in any way at any time 16/5
To make an apology to Paul Kimmage during the interview 5/1
To wear a yellow short [presumably that should be shirt – ed] or tie 9/1
To jump up and down on the sofa 20/1
It's Not About The Bike to be included in Oprah's book club 25/1

You can just imagine how that interview would go:

JP: Mr Armstrong, have you ever taken performance enhancing drugs in your professional cycling career?
LA: At the time drug taking was rife in the peloton
JP: Have you ever taken performance enhancing drugs in your professional cycling career?
LA: At the time drug taking was rife in the peloton
JP: Have you ever taken performance enhancing drugs in your professional cycling career?
LA: At the time drug taking was rife in the peloton
JP: Have you ever taken performance enhancing drugs in your professional cycling career?
and so on.....

Is he getting a cut of the advert fees. Higher the cut, the more he talks.

Add in Spurs saying they're blood doping (spinning) and FIFA not caring about blood spinning and the mass match fixing...

I expect it will all go away though with football's money.
