Bicycle bits for developing countries

Postby Amy » Mon Apr 30, 2007 9:02 pm

I mentioned to one or two people on Sunday that I had helped a friend take some old bike bits and clothing to a charity that takes in old bikes and bike bits and rebuilds them to send out to developing countries, Africa particularly I think. There seemed to be some interest.

So if you have some old bits that you want to give to a home where they will be appreciated contact Re-cycle (t 020 7793 1110 or email info@re-cycle.org) they will be more than pleased to receive your donations.

Items, including clothing need to be taken to their place at 100 Vauxhall Walk on a Saturday between 10am and 2pm (check website - http://www.re-cycle.org or contact them as there might be a slight change to timings in June). (Website was down for updating when I looked this morning).

And if anyone goes there soon, I'd like to know if the mum cat and her kittens have been rounded up and taken for rehoming :)
