Calshot Track Day 20th Dec

Postby Simon J » Tue Dec 02, 2003 12:22 pm

Hi Everyone,
Neil has said to me that there is a Calshot training day available on 20th December. If we can get enough interest then we will go ahead with it. If people can let us know if they want to come.

Cheers

Simon J :)

There are still only 5 of us goin down to lovely Calshot. We will be confirming the booking on Friday (5th), so get yer place quick!

If you are not sure of your plans we will be posting up Calshot's number so that you can book a place individually after Fri.

At the mo Simon and myself are driving down so there'll be a few spaces in our cars if anyone needs a lift.

Cheers

Just a few extras

Could you let either me or Simon know on the following points:

...Have you riden at Calshot before?(if not you will be classed as a novice even if you are comfortable on a fixed, i'm quessin most of us will be in the novice group even if you had a go down there before)

...Will you be bringing your own bike? (bikes are for hire if you are not brinigng your own. A 79" gear has been recommended for use on the track, though i have heard people have comfortably used 81" as well. If you are brinign your own please ensure your cranks are a bit shorter than the norm i.e. like your general track crank)

The numbers are slowly raisin, looks like its gonna be a good day.

Neil

I'm keen for a trip down to Calshot.

Haven't got a track bike, and the only track i've ridden on in this country is Herne Hill. Wouldn't say i'm a novis but i'm much more comfortable on hills!
