All, whilst speaking to Monty last Saturday he mentioned a club run to Brighton on Saturday 23rd (Depending on weather). So for those who are interested pencil this date in the diaries.

It will be a CR, so I would assume all groups will be out.

I'll take a group down on a PVT mystery tour if the weather's OK.

Forecast isn't good at the moment.

Good if you can do it, but I can't do any more than 15 pints.

I'm thinking of doing my usual 'alternate' route. Does anyone want to join me? I'll be aiming for a 17 type speed...

If not I'll join the normal 17s :(

I might be up for doing something long and a bit different next Saturday. Might go to the surrey hills, although am tempted to catch a tow off Mr PVT down to Brighton.

Cheers

Marek....

[quote]On May 23rd the whole CR is off to Brighton, aiming to arrive directly at the Regency Restaurant (see link in Digest), which is opposite the burnt out pier, between 12-12.30pm so you can start carbo loading ASAP

To leave promptly at these suggested start times you are best arriving 5-10 mins earlier at CSS

8.00 off road grp

8.20 15 mph grp

8.40 16 mph grp

9.00 17 mph grp

9.20 18 mph grp

9.40 19 mph grp

10.00 TG

Suggested route is via the BHF London–Brighton charity ride route including Ditchling Beacon & back via Devils Dyke & reverse of clubrun, however there are numerous options available if you want to be a bit more adventurous.

Some riders may want to turn back at Turners Hill, which is the same distance as the Charlwood cafe/regular CR. Others may want to only ride to Brighton & get a train or car back to Croydon. For the full return ride the estimated time back at CSS is c5pm.

Please bring appropriate clothes, tubes, food, tools, drink, camera, cash & moby.
If the weather is bad we will default to the regular CR & reschedule in June.

I will join you Amy.

What time do you intend leaving?

Maybe I can persuade Marky Mark to come along.

Cheers

Is there anyone who can take out the training group and knows the way? George and Paul on the tandem at the front maybe?

Welcome aboard - yes, please conscript Marky Mark into my group. You two then can sit on the front and tow me along

I did think of going about the same time as the 'proper' 17s, maybe just after so as not to confuse things when they turn left in Merstham and we continue on. Also if no-one else turns up, I'll just tag along with them.
