Team Axiom 10 - 15/06/13

Just me and Jon H down to ride this one on the Liss/Liphook A3 course. On a seriously windy afternoon a third of the field were non-starters and as I didn't see Jon at all I guessed he was one of them. The wind direction and course geography meant that the wind was more of a help on the way out than it was a hinderance on the way back so the times were reasonably good despite the strength of the wind, with me finishing in 23:24. I think the winning time was 20:55 with several 21s also recorded.

Nice one Steve, racking up those 23s this year. Have you got any long ones planned for this year or have you returned your brain to its proper place .

I saw the forecast wind speed and direction and thought it wouldn't be too bad for that course, but then it started raining on and off which convinced me to DNS.

Then I had a big dose of CBA when I realised the 25 on Sunday would mean getting out of bed at 4am.

Brain back in place, short distances only - but next year who knows?

Yeah, I hate those early Sunday morning starts too. I tend not to enter anything that starts before 8:00 in the morning.
