Epsom CC 25 28/9

Postby Andrew G » Sun Sep 28, 2014 12:07 pm

Paul, Dom and myself down for this at Horsham, Dom a DNS (work?) And Paul dnf with a heavy cold, so that left just me.

Nice morning and I like the new course. My usual form of winding it up and negative split, was really flying along at the end enjoying myself. Got baulked by a Land Rover with a bouncing trailer which didn't indicate at a RAB about 4 miles from home which was frustrating to kill all my speed but got it back quickly.

Back under the hour with 59:47, race was won comfortably by Steve Dennis in 51:13. Good to see this class act back to his best.

Nice one Andrew. Cracking weather for it. Yes my DNS was work related. Even more frustrating was the fact I sent my apologies on Friday having seen there were reserves and expecting to work Sunday. Then only worked Saturday and not the Sunday. Must do better next year :D

Andrew

Good ride. Should set you up for next season. All you need is a good winter.

See you soon.

Finale Jon?

I still have two 25s left, one of them semi sporting, HC on tandem, and the Redmon GP. Fingers crossed there's one more sub hour in there.

Nice one, sunshine. You're well ahead of your old man at '25' (my best 1-0-46, in 1963). But you've still got some catching up to do on my PB '100' and 12-hour. Maybe next season ....
