I know all this training business makes us sound a bit serious but, well, some people really are into this bike lark so feel free to talk about all training & self improvement related topics in here
Whilst maybe not enjoyable, the time I spent on the turbo in 2007/8 made a huge difference to me knocking several minurtes off my 25 time. I simply did not have the hours available to do loads of on road work. Instead one of the clubs best TTers at the time drew me up a simple trainign prog based on the time I could commit. Most of that work was on the turbo, and nearly all the sessions were warmed up done and dusted in under one hour.
People dis the turbo and I can understand that but it worked wonders for me.
[quote="Mike I"]I recommend that you get it out of your head that it would be fun .
I concnur with Lord Ingram. It's about as much fun as doing a gravel luge without a luge. Benefits are great though. If you want my training diary let me know it may prove useful to you sonic?
Ideally we'd be able to ride all year round in the warm sunshine, wearing shorts and a t-shirt , but when it's snowy and icy I'd reccomend Elite Ghibli Parabolic Rollers.
