What training did you do today?

I know all this training business makes us sound a bit serious but, well, some people really are into this bike lark so feel free to talk about all training & self improvement related topics in here

Just the 3 laps of RP for me today-a bit windy but ok really. Rode around clockwise for a change and tried to sprint over Test Hill but wasn`t much of a success as it pushed me into the red and took me some time to recover. Just under 2 hours ride time and just over an hour in the park. I think the days have gone when I could do 3 laps in under an hour in the winter.!!!

One legged training session for me today, concentrated on my right leg as peddling with my left fecking well hurts

Due to time constraints couldn`t manage the Saturday jolly today. I did manage to get out early though for 21/2hrs on my ownsome.

One of my favourite rides out to Hungry Hill. Mostly rolling. 43 miles. Felt pretty good.

Hardly any traffic on Sat. Midweek though plenty of Wags in their Chelsea tractors.

The temptation to ride 50-60 miles was great but I knew it wouldn't be a contolled effort and I'd probably aggravate my ankle again. Plan B? the turbo of course. Forty minutes steady effort watching the EMA MTV awards in spain. 8) The ankle feels a little better. Those of you lacking motivation to get started on your winter training program maybe this will help

Toks

glad to hear that you are still seeing Britney-or have you dumped her for a younger, more technical model?

No SufferFest for me just a nice steady 1hr45m on the rollers this morning. The spikes are just very brief hard efforts. One thing they do is stop me getting bored.

On the winter bike (Ribble). Don't think the mudguards & lights were really necessary. :D

And no, I didn't fall off half an hour in  - was getting too toasty so had to stop and open the kitchen door a bit more.

2 x 20 at 254w on rollers at 100rpm cadence - almost did fall off at 54mins as a passing cat wandered dangerously close to the rear wheel :-)
