Hi, I may have mentioned that I've only trained/ridden perhaps 4 or 5 times since October 2010 because of ankle/Achilles pain. It appeared to have finally cleared up so I got the bike out yesterday and today and rode at a fairly sedate 15-16mph for around 90mins. Anyways the pain is back again. Grr!!. I have lowered the saddle, stretched calves, iced Achilles, move cleats right back etc etc. In desperation I did an Internet search and found quite a few links where triathletes and cyclists had similar problems with Speed plays. Most pointed to the fact your foot over pronates and rocks which brings about the AT and ankle pain. Now I've always loved speed plays and I've ridden them for five years without a problem, so why now?? -. Anyway I'm gonna switch to a more secure pedal system and have another bike fit and see what happens. Cheers
