Are you thinking of doing this after work. I could probably be at CSS for 6.30pm. I know a good route to Westerham and back to Purley which takes in most of the places you were mentioning. It takes just over 2 hours I think.

I'd join you guys, but my shifters are still buggered (just received the replacements) and am racing at Eastway tomorrow night. Next time!

6 out tonight and was an excellent run over to Westerham. Dave Kennett was out showing us all how its done. That guy seems to whiz along with no effort, I was killing myself trying to get to the tops of the hills before him and he would just whiz by and go up a few gears and then disappear. Oh well I will keep practicing.

Gavin and Ian were going pretty well and Simon H and Dave F were going so well that they disappeared from Westerham when we were waiting for Gavin and Ian who had taken a wrong turn.

Dave K set a steady pace coming out of Westerham, but I have to admit my legs were burning before we even got to the main climb out of Westerham. Dave rides so smooth that you think you cannot be going too fast but my hrm and legs were telling me otherwise on the drag towards the hill.

Great to get in 65km in nice weather mid week.

All going well same again next week

Cheers

Hard work tonight about 75k as I came from Croydon. Everyone went so fast up the hills.

I managed to keep up on the flat though. Had a bit of a moment coming down a hill at 64 kph my bike kept hitting pot holes and then got into some kind of strange state it was shaking all over the place I though I was going to get thrown off but luckily not.

Looking forward to Saturday club run now.

Ian are you up for a recovery ride thursday !! i.e not as fast.....

Cheers

Really enjoyed the ride out tonight- even tho big simon came!
Dave K makes it look so easy as he just floats up all the climbs- that road out of westerham was lovely, its the first time i've been up there and by the way its a 6/7% climb.
Perhaps the reason why i was so slow up the hills was because i had a broken rear spoke, Dave F said my wheel looked buckled- i thought it was my weight.
I did not check the mileage but we did nearly 800 metres of climbing.
