So what ya gonna do this winter?

I know all this training business makes us sound a bit serious but, well, some people really are into this bike lark so feel free to talk about all training & self improvement related topics in here

Fixed wheel and LSD  (and the S stands for steady not slow  ).

On a slightly more serious note what you plan to do over winter should have a relation to what you are planning to do next year, there can be no hard and fast rule as it would depend on your objectives.

I spent the whole winter doing LSD once-i've never been quite the same since

I wouldn't really advise doing it while riding a fixed wheel bicylce-thats just an accident wating to happen.

(Sorry its a slow afternoon  )

Don't worry its safe to come out and play again. :D I'm gonna be away for three weeks over christmas so I'm kinda just ticking over really. I can't imagine I'll do much cycling in Nigeria but I'll take a good pair of trainers. So hows ya training going?

Hang in there Stu, remember its a long old season - plenty of time to be really fit for racing in the late spring and summer

Good thanks.

Plenty of lbp, some sprints sprinkled in for good measure, muscles buffing up nicely at the gym, and according to my guru, I've only just started!

:D

Lose a bit of weight -started already.

Take part in some winter races - start with Hillingdon on the 6th dec hopefully

Improve my endurance - get those miles in when and where I can.

Work on improving my sprint speed - Im no slouch but a bit more speed never hurt anyone.

Hibernate untill the warm weather - oh I wish.
