Well I knew I couldn't get any worse.

Thank you Rob for the tests you done and all the advice you gave me every time I pestered you with a question.

""Is it someone who is slowly having parts of his/her body replaced with sophisticated titanium machinery?"" Now that would be fun.

Nope just good old fashioned exercise, bit of a shock to the old body at first but soon got hooked on it as I could feel the benefits. It's nice to see that the figures back up what I was feeling.

16-10-08 LBP=145HR giving output of LBP wattage of 147watts
08-12-08 LBP=145HR no change there but now giving out 200 watts
If my maths serve my right that's up by over 35%

It's been easy and I've enjoyed it. :D

You're kidding?

I have no idea how many times I've been up there this year, a couple of hundred I suspect...

Fit test score up from 34 to 47 (cardio fitness score).

Breathing rates down (have you been practising Mark?).

Weight down a bit from 92.5 to 92.3kg.

Not exactly sure what the fit score is measuring as I seem to just be laying on freezing floor for 5 mins, How does a HR reading at rest relate to a fit score, is it HR variation?

Breathing rates down. Yes it is, I made a point or reading what you and others had put on the forum (the 'Breathing in Cycling' expained it well).
I also remember George picking up on his breathing during and after his public test, and knowing that Sylv was trying it makes me think what the heck and lets give it a go. My body is still telling me to breath faster during exercise and I find it very hard to fight that urge  . I think Sylve has cracked it.

Weight is a wierd one. I feel like I lost alot more than point something of a kilo. I can now fit into cloths that I have not been able to bet on for ages. Too much cake and beer I think!

If you weigh more or less the same but can now fit back into your skinny jeans that probably indicates that you've lost some fat but gained some muscle. Muscles are denser than fat, so you be the same weight but be slimmer.

Mark,

The Polar Fit Test is a way to test aerobic fitness.

Gender, age, height, body weight, level of physical activity, heart rate and heart rate variability at rest are all factors influencing the test results.

The Fit test score is used to follow changes in your fitness over a long period of time.
