Chaingang 14/01

I know all this training business makes us sound a bit serious but, well, some people really are into this bike lark so feel free to talk about all training & self improvement related topics in here

PS - the usual chaingang rule is you don't wait for mechanicals. Check the rider is OK then carry on. The point of the session is for training - you stop enough times on that route with traffic lights etc anyway without pausing for mechanicals.

This also acts as an incentive for people to fix and clean their bikes - dirty shonky bikes equals dropped riders going solo and losing the training opportunity. You get out what you put in!

It's Marcus with a Burberry

So you got that Paul - go clean that bike tonight instead of the 30min of power

It's a nickname from the mountainbikers at Nottingham Uni - long story.

The clean bike comment was an aside really the main points were those suggested earlier and likewise those of Paul and Dom.

[quote="marco"]good point ... that will need changing

I wasn't suggesting that the names needed changing, Marco. Do we need to? For example there's loads of Robs on the Forum, but that doesn't really help distinguish people. So long as the username is unique.

[quote="marco"]who is pinkdreammachine

Come along on a Saturday morning and I challenge you to guess just who this might be. :lol:

[quote="marco"]I thought it was great the riders on the Norwood Paragon mtb ride knew more about our ride than we did from reading this forum!

And Marcus wasn't even on the ride :lol:
Next time Marcus
