Come Anthony dont give up after one it gets a little better each time. It only hurt cause you spent too long at the front.

Ah so it was you who shouted at us :D

We let Paul go off the front so we could talk about him

Great ride tonight. Those in attendance were Paul H, Domonic, Serge, Matt and mysyelf. Serge was worried about getting dropped...don't know why, he rode really strongly esp on the way back. Paul was uber strong again and when we hit Gatwick he powered away with only me being able to hold his wheel and that was only just.

Seemed to be more traffic tonight and some blind drivers out there as we got pulled out on at junctions a couple of times resulting in us all hitting the breaks hard.

Really starting to enjoy these rides, hard work but will hopefully see some improvement come the spring.

You'll be slaying 'em at Hillingdon before then (so long as you don't need your snow shoes again).

And race with you head, which means the only time it counts to be on the front is when your crossing the finish line!

Cheers guys.

Your right Adam. I did sit on the front at Hillingdon during the race but tbh the pace was that slow it took nothing out of me. It was only on the last lap that I really put in a big effort to close down the two who'd got a decent'ish gap over the field as no one else bothered or couldn't. I wasn't expecting a great result from that race as the conditions and the cold both worked against me,hopefully this sat will see a better result, I'm looking to get top 3 placing which is well within my reach.

This maybe true, however, it took more out of you than sitting 10 places back in the bunch would have ay. Which is what my team mate who beat you was doing

Originally stated about motor racing, but it's just as true for bikes:
