Think it's the Skoda garage.

Ant, it's where B is on this map, the triangluar do-dad is a big roundabout affair with the Skoda garage on it.

I thought I saw you, Ant,(new bike?) as I sat at the lights at West Wickham. I hope you all had a good ride.

I will one day return on Saturdays, just a small matter of 3000 table tennis bats to make.

Ho hum just think of all the money I'm saving on new tyres, chain, wheels, brakes, handlebar tape, oil, oil cleaner etc etc

No new bike for me Woody, just a nwer slimmer rider sat on it :D

About time you got your ar*e into gear and got out on a club run...the weathers warmed up now so you'll just about get away with wearing just your short sleeved ACC jersey

Hope your well mate and hope to see you soon, been to long man.

And now for a quick summary of tonights ride. From ACC we had Serge, Rob W, Sylv, Chloe and Huw and yours truely. Chloe went with the slower group and left us big boys playing in the faster group,it was a pretty big group but we shed a couple of riders early on. Fairly easy pace heading off out towards the Pilgrims Way then up towards Pole Hill (sp) where it all kicked off, Sylv and Serge went off with me in hot pursuit making it an ACC 1, 2, 3 to the top. Nice ride back again till there was just us 4 and a guy from TSN so the pace picked up all the way back towards Croydon.

Nice ride with a great bunch of friendly guys. Pace was comfortable and no where near as savage as our usual weds night chain gangs but still well worth going.

46 miles on the clock when I got in, knee felt ok except towards the end, felt really strong and had to ease up a few times when on the front but all in all good fun. :D

Yep - I'll echo that, except that comfortable for Ant was pretty close to Red-Line for me

About 20 set off but we were down to 14 by the time we got half way up Layhams. Lordy, what those Dulwich boys must think of the ACC tuning up and dropping the majority of 'em from their own ride

Super smooth T&O along the top and the descent to Pilgrims was mental with Pilgrims itself a total blast at ridiculous speed. Fortunately Sylv and co went so fast up Pole that the rest of the group fragmented so a re-group stop at the roundabout over the top was nescessary. Good job too as I was toast otherwise!

Big high speed thrash to Farnboro, then just as my legs were on their last legs so to speak, things got worse. The Dulwich boys went straight on to Bromley and the ACC posse turned left for West Wickham. Sweet Jesus that was 'ard. Rob W, RobC, Sylv, Serge and Antloony were all attacking and my speedo was complaining that it's never had to work so hard to keep up.

Thank god I'd arranged to meet Chloe at West Wickham as I don't think I was gonna hang on to Croydon.
Awesome riding in a group of very smooth, fast riders, and somewhere in the region of 70 minutes at threshold for me with several peaks at around 180bpm HR- now that's good training :D

I don't think there's anything to be proud of - turning up on what is supposed to be a group ride and blasting off the front - especially when it's not even your own club ride!!
It's not as if Addiscombe would welcome a group of 6 or 7 Dulwich Paragon riders turning up on a Saturday morning at Coulsdon South Station.

It's interesting how there is currently a thread entitled - "Can the club do more rides". Surely you would want to put some effort into that and set up an ACC chaingang. You can drop each other and brag about it to your heart's content!

Also, note that many of those who were in the fastest group yesterday were not the big boys. That happens on Tuesdays and Thursdays. How about turning up then rather than on the intermediate level group ride? Actually, the fast boys don't do Tuesdays now - they're at Crystal Palace. That's the place where riders go and show off their athletic prowess! I look forward to seeing all of you on the circuit there dropping all the big boys!
