Race coaching/training ( with Prime Coaching)

I know all this training business makes us sound a bit serious but, well, some people really are into this bike lark so feel free to talk about all training & self improvement related topics in here

Race coaching/training ( with Prime Coaching)

Postby JayneToyne » Mon Mar 01, 2004 3:18 pm

Just a reminder for this coming 2 weekends, barring no snow or blizzards of course...
TWO consecutive weekends of race coaching and training,
6th and 13th MARCH
meet at 10am at the Horne golf course carpark for several laps of a fast open road circuit, working on breakaways and bridging gaps, sprinting and a bit of a race at the end to join all the training together... be warned, this will be HARD work but very good fun.

the more of you who turn up the better it is for everyone else.

any questions, fire them at me: miss.moneypenny@ukgateway.net

pass the invitation on to anyone you may think would benefit/enjoy this, they dont have to be with Addiscombe to join in as this is a Prime coaching event.

Yes Jayne, please help him.
Although I do think he may be past the point of help, seeing as though it took 3 weeks to get over the removal of a couple of wisdom teeth!

Good effort last night Rob, looks like the time off did you some good.
Don't go OTT tho, you'll run the risk of burning out.
It's ok to finish a session feeling good, sometimes you need to resist the temptation of doing more. Hard training sessions should be treated with care and in measured doses so your body can gradually absorb the extra workload.

See you next week,

BM

If Lance can ride for 6 hours with a tumour the size of an orange in his pants, i'm sure you could have done a few hours a week on the Turbo with a cocconut in your mouth!

See you 6.30 @ Butlers on Wed. night for 2.5 hours of hills
If anyone else wants to join, feel free.

Great riding last night Rob, you're showing all the signs of becoming a champion cyclist. It was good that Darren came along too, boy can he climb!

Working on your weaknesses will be thenext step. The training session I recommended on the bore-bo (turbo) should sort some of your problems out.

Keep up the good work; we'll make a rider out of you yet!!!!
