Kidds Hill Challenge

I know all this training business makes us sound a bit serious but, well, some people really are into this bike lark so feel free to talk about all training & self improvement related topics in here

Kidds Hill Challenge

Postby Marek » Tue Jun 30, 2009 9:13 pm

For all those climbers out there, at the bottom of Kidds Hill near Ashdown Forest aka the Wall, there is now a sign showing the place for the standing start. At the top there is a sign showing when to stop timing. You can then ride to Forest Row and give your time to the shop owner in Future Cycles who will put your time on the leader board.

Rumour has it that Paul (the young one from Majorca) has set a fast time in the region of 5 mins 15 secs. Apparently this was done on his new Willier. Nice one Paul.

So if your down towards Ashdown Forest way then go and have a go and see what you can do.

Cheers

Ok, I did it this evening. Now, I was suffering a little bit due to a large bout of cramp last night in swim training my left calf muscle is tighter than a ducks a.... Anyhow, I did a 5 mins 32 seconds. This was followed by around a 10 minute session of almost coughing up my guts. The people at the top queuing up for ice creams all jumped into their cars and drove off in disgust at the amount of spittle that was dribbling from my mouth and nose.

Cheers

Never mind what time you did, how was the ice cream once you'd scared off the other punters?
