I have been counting my pulse but my resting HR seems to be different all the time. when i first wake up my HR is about 48-50 but when im just sitting in the office daydreaming my HR is more like 65-70, even when I'm not physically active or thinking particularly hard. If I close my eyes and pretend to meditate my HR drops a little, seems like a lot of variables to give anything half way precise.
So my question is...
When you say "oh my resting HR is xx", under what conditions do you measure it?
Do you rig up a polar HR monitor while you sleep?
