Boxhill TT Challenge Kingston Wheelers times

I know all this training business makes us sound a bit serious but, well, some people really are into this bike lark so feel free to talk about all training & self improvement related topics in here

cool 550watts is massive!! can you hold that all the way up? and is that working at 85-90% of max effort?
just so you and slyv know when i'm calculating watts per kg, you went up by 0.1 on your previous effort from your time of 5:10, i'm adding the weight of your bike on top of your bodyweight, and using 8kg for your bike, if its any different let me know and i'll adjust it.
i reckon sub 5:00 is in the bag, do you need someone to motorpace you up to the top. you've got to be doing 27kph average right?

just been forwarded this link from gs henley cc and bikeradar, tom sturgess (now) holds 2nd place on the boxhill TT now, and also thinks he can break 5 mins.
ben would you be interested in a head to head showdown race?

Hahaha... guilty as charged

If you check the link below, I join in the fun at page 12... I saw the topic and felt it was a great opportunity to advertise athleteservice.com if I could post a good time.
There is some good/ interesting reading about power here.

I've already posted mentioning I'm holding some form and could break 5min...

Could we do the same with pishill/ aston??

umm, i reckon my bike with training wheels, sturdy tyres and 2 full bottles is nearer 9-10kg, not sure never weighed it. I can get it down to below 7 with no water and xentis hm wheels and better tyres. but i dont think weight matters to much on that climb as its not really steep enough.

lowest speed was 14 and highest 19mph watts between 460 and 550 with most the time spot on 500 cadence between 85 and 90 seated the whole way

just read this, can't believe the times you lot are talking about! Took me about twice as long (ie 10 mins) last Sat, but that was getting my legs ripped off on the way there after doing little riding for a month. I'll have a better go this Sat, maybe I'll break 9 mins! :D
