[quote="Toks"]Hi Matt, it re Road Racing day before a TT it depends on a number of things 1. How well you recover from race pace efforts 2, Is the TT hard training or are your trying to PB? Re the first point you'll have to do some back to back hard rides and see how you feel. I quite like riding circuit races 2 days (back to back) - often the first day serves to 'open up the legs' and I feel stronger the next day. However if you completely trash yourself in the RR rather than sit in and sprint at the end then the TT the next day isn't gonna be a good option. Like I said it depends
It all depends on how many people turn up to the race. It can be anything from 30 people (i can sit behind) to 5 (nowhere to hide!). The last race my legs were fine the next day but when I went cycling they felt a bit weak.
It is my first TT so it will be just hard training I reckon. Also I do the club run and then the sunday club run back to back and I seem to have enough energy to get home so it all depends on how much I work the day before!
I'll see how my legs fair this saturday (i have another race) as I feel not many people will turn up as it's going to rain!
[quote="Toks"]Anyway, how are the Herne Hill track sessions going?
The track sessions start again after easter as they are doing some work at Herne Hill (hardstanding and 250m track in the middle). It will be nice to go back to see how much my training over the winter has payed off!!
