Marshelling 30th April

Postby GeorgeKingaby » Mon Mar 27, 2017 12:12 pm

Please can I have volunteers to marshall a Surrey League event on the 30th April.

We are going to need at least 15 marshalls, 2 judges and 4 drivers.

If anyone has difficulty with transport please volunteer and let me know and I will see if I can arrange lifts.

If you can help please e mail me at georgekingaby@gmail.com

Thanks

George

I'll do canteen if there's one needed. And the cakes and I will need a lift down to wherever this race is.

Maybe save one of the cakes for Marek but we'll have to get the Fire Brigade on hand.

Hi George
I'll marshall. I've already put my name forward for this on another post on the forum. Posting here in case you haven't seen it.

Cheers, George. Chauffeurs get first dibs on cakes :D

Another thing that I think needs to be reinstated is drinks and cake for marshals. If anyone has a couple of those large flasks, I can send someone out mid race to refresh and refuel those standing at the side of the road :)

Hi Andrea many thanks offer accepted and appreciated.

Amy it seems your cakes come highly recommended. Are you close to Coulsdon for lift etc? Once we have a full list of marshalls will see if anyone has flasks. i think I may have one kicking around.

Thanks

George.

OK, who's been blabbing? Also, not just my cakes but also Sue's!

I'm at Hackbridge, is that OK? It's about 4.5 miles by my speedo. I'll email you my address and contact details if that's ok.

Are we any nearer to getting a location? I will assume that cakes are needed but if we end up somewhere like the golf club at Bletchingly where they like us to buy their stuff.

Hi we finally have a venue, Barcombe, East Sussex.

Amy the HQ will just be a hall. Can you e mail me you address at georgekingaby@gmail.com.

I will need to be there by 9am so a reasonable early start.

Thanks

George.

Hi George,

I have put my name down on Ashley's list to marshal as well.

I have received an email this morning saying that the HQ is at Newick Village Hall, BN8 4LE rather than at Barcombe. Is this the same race: i.e. part of the Surrey 3 day? If it is one and the same could you confirm where the HQ is please: Newick or Barcombe?

Many thanks

Andrew
