CR 14 August reports

On road, off road, round in a big circle or down to the coast, we do the lot. We don't just do it at all speeds and for all levels, we do it Agreeably as well!

CR 14 August reports

Come on, folks, where's the write-ups? Didn't have anything last week either

Dunno where all the VCs have been the last two club runs but there's been a select few out both weeks, even less today than last week. This week we were short of vice captains for the slower groups!!

Bit of an interesting ride down with a group of mixed abilities, a puncture and a missing rider. Thanks, Bridget, for taking the group on and round the whole route while Julian and I took the shortest cut and beat you all to the cafe

Coming back I tried my best to hang on to the fast boys for as long as possible. Hopefully getting better but I did feel rubbish both this week and last week and right on the edge. Hills were a bit of a bummer too though for some reason I ended up towing a group UP the Merstham drag - what was all that about, boys?? As the 'weaker sex', you should've been towing me!

We were all in the 18 mph group !!! Three of us!!  You know those 18 mphers are a wild, crazy bunch of nutters. They need close control !!!   But seriously a great bunch to ride with. Nice, tight, tidy, steady ride. Everyone looked after. No one dropped and we got in at 19.1 mph average.   (Too fast for my liking but I'll save that debate for another time!! )

Perhaps next time we can have a quick chat and divvy out the VCs a bit more evenly???

Well, there were still only 5 VCs for what was, thankfully, a small turnout for the ACC.

Can't think who the third VC was in your group :?

I wouldn't complain - it was always a nice feeling if I could make it down there with a group going just that bit faster than the label. Gave me the courage to step up to the next group...

I reckon the 25mph + lead out I gave your group for the run in to Charlwood may have taken you up to the 0.1 mph over the 19. Sorry about that. :D
