Sun CR 14 Oct

On road, off road, round in a big circle or down to the coast, we do the lot. We don't just do it at all speeds and for all levels, we do it Agreeably as well!

Well, the "not going for a ride" ride wound up at 47 miles and 1,00m+ of climbing by the time me and Tom got home.

Felt great to be out on the bike again after bloke flu. Good fun watching the hill climbs and celeb stalking Yates and Boulting. I don't think Ned is entirely sold on hill climbs as a sport but he appeared to give it his all.

Yep, good day out. The Bec Hill Climb was warmer than the Catford Hill Climb - nearly froze in the morning, almost had to strip off standing in the sun on White Lane. A quick bite to eat at a nice warm and cosy Tudor Tea Rooms in Westerham - not quite sure why sausage was off the lunch menu because it was a breakfast item, but the bacon and egg butty went down a treat :D

Thanks for the ride out, jnr and the company and ride back with Phil and Tom, the scary celebrity stalkers.

Have to say that Ned's face was an absolute picture... of agony  Came over as a very affable chap though and good for him giving it a go. Not a time to be ashamed of either though the winner did set a new course record...

Must be getting stronger (or wasn't so knackered at that point) as came up hill before dropping down to Purley still in big ring rather than grovelling in the little chain ring

Good ride back from Botley Hill - catching up and dropping a number of other riders along the way

Can't remember if it was you or Tom who said about Ned's race-face: "It looked like he was going to cry". Which is fair. He did post 2'38" which I would be very pleased with at the moment.
