New Years Day - Get the year started

On road, off road, round in a big circle or down to the coast, we do the lot. We don't just do it at all speeds and for all levels, we do it Agreeably as well!

Steady and Scenic. Probably about 60 miles, the odd hill. 10:00 CSS.

Forecast is currently at "Sunny" for this. So I should probably work out a route.

I should probably mention that it's likely that many cafes will be shut. So probably worth bringing some nibbles. We'll try to find somewhere though.

Box Hill cafe is definitely open - only closes on Christmas Day, I believe.

Perfectly good ride today with Phil - a good start to the year. A slight error of navigation meant we missed the Leith Hill climb but probably for the best - a few more hills before we tackle that one. Refreshment stop at the Parrot, Forest Green, was OK but I'd've still preferred sitting inside next to the fire :D

Am thinking of doing a similarly 'easy'-paced ride next Sunday out Ripley/Cobham way - got a couple of hills 8)

Forgot the tree down in Raikes Lane - helped provide proof that I was on the heaviest bike and therefore getting more of a workout from the ride

I can see from the Garmin data where we went wrong out of Forest Green. Shame in a way - the road along the top of Leith to Coldharbour is lovely when it's sunny. Nicer than the A25 anyway.

Hope everyone got back. Also a new PB: started off with 10 and nobody got back to Nonnas.

Yes, we should've taken the road towards Ockley - sorry, was a bit rusty, not been that way for too long. I don't mind the A25: it's a fast road even on a bike and rolls nicely - just shame about the traffic.

Wasn't going to mention that - you only 'lost' two on the actual ride and Nick didn't count.
