Spooky I was thinking the same thing the other day. Early thought was the first weekend of October but waiting to hear back from Toks once he has a better idea of dates for the club road race to avoid a clash if possible.

Resurect, ahem, there was a trip last year it's just that only two of us went. Thanks to that I was going to take the MTB over for a re-run of last years loop, or similar, as it was a superb day. Great trails and beautiful scenery with plenty of climbing and some top descents on a mix of hard pack and loose surface. Not for the novice but great riding if anyone wants to join me for some reasonable paced off-road shenanighans.

A road and an off road affair with a boozy tale telling/swapping in the evening?

Best to wait for Toks to fill us in, so to speak, but I shall be over the sea if not that far away for a weekend at the end of the season.

I've only got a few yards inland on the IoW (sailing club rules: first pub on the left). It would be interesting to see more of it.

I would of came last year, but the only mention was mountain bikes, of which i dodn't want to do as i have enough trouble staying upright on a road bike let alone flying down hills on knobbly tyres But if there is a road bike group going i'd be more than up for it, BOOZE!! YAY!

You wouldn't want a big group off-road but could split in to faster/longer and shorter/slower groups and road option(s) too. Whatever your option you couldn't go too far wrong, it would be great to get a bigger gang like in 2008.
