Clubrun 17th July

On road, off road, round in a big circle or down to the coast, we do the lot. We don't just do it at all speeds and for all levels, we do it Agreeably as well!

Clubrun 17th July

We're going to go out towards Kent this week having had a great ride into Sussex last Saturday. Depending on the morning (and the group) we will head out through Marden Park then along the beautiful Pigrims Way dropping down into Brasted where we'll either stop at the really nice cafe there or head further to Sevenoaks to the NT cafe in Knole Park.
As usual, this will take in quiet lanes with superb views over the North Downs. It's a more hilly route than the ride to Charlwood but we always wait at the tops of hills and I can guarantee a good time. Anyone who can keep a reasonable pace will be fine and there is an emphasis on being an ultra-agreeable friendly ride. If you haven't tried any other routes except the usual clubrun then why not give it a try this week.

No bike at all plus some camping (ooo betty) and a wedding aniversary means not for me this week. Have fun - I should be back on 2 wheels by the following weekend

Cheers - Snoop

If you're definitely going to Sevenoaks, I'll come along - I need the hills. Otherwise it's a tester with the 18s.

I think that we will go to Brasted tomorrow for another sample of their great coffee and lovely cakes.
So, our route will be over Farthing Downs, through Marden Park, up to the top of Titsey then along the Pigrims Way until we drop down to the cafe. The quiet side up to Toys then a little lane that comes out just below Chartwell. I've got a little hidden dink there to bring us out at the top of Crockham before taking the pretty quiet lanes back home. 45 ish quality miles in some of the best countryside around. Money back guarantee!

What time do you think we will get back as I don't feel that strong as my stigmata is flaring up again :?

Frankly Ian, I don't care. Last week you suggested a worst cycling jersey competition with big prizes. I went all out for the win to the point of wearing a jersey that was so horrible that a little girl on a horse called out to her mother in disbelief: "Look at that man's awful tee shirt!". I was made to sit away from the others in the cafe and people turned away in disgust. Where was the organiser of the competion Mr Ian Pringle? He'd gone home after three or four miles with a 'girl from the gym' he'd brought along to ride with us.

Ian my advice is not to come out tomorrow as Pete obviously wants to crucify you and I don't think you could go through that again.

I thought it was a beautiful jersey and brightened up CSS and no doubt the countryside.

I may come along. Especially if there's a cream horn to be had at the cafe stop.
