Ride this Sunday 29 Aug - now Monday

On road, off road, round in a big circle or down to the coast, we do the lot. We don't just do it at all speeds and for all levels, we do it Agreeably as well!

Ride this Sunday 29 Aug - now Monday

Postby Amy » Thu Aug 26, 2010 8:52 am

Can't get out this Saturday so any one for a ride Sunday?

Meet CSS 9am for 9.15 departure. The plan is to head out via Box Hill to Leith Hill then head back east towards Copthorne and Smallfield before heading back up to either the Knag's Hall garden centre cafe or a bit further on to another cafe at Woldingham (next to another garden centre) probably for a lunch.

Anyone care to join me?

All welcome.

It probably won't be as slick as  's rides - I don't the section through Gatwick to Copthorne very well. And of course, it won't be as fast but hopefully just as agreeable as his Saturday ride.

Perfectly slick I'm sure Amy. The trick is if you're not as sure of an area / section then just look about a bit more as if you are admiring the scenery and you soon spot the lane you want  . No-one's any the wiser.

Hoping to join in for a steady ride Amy. Not yet up to speed so if I feel to knackered I'll bail out early. Cheers, Alan

I'm sure you'll be fine, Alan. I'll probably be the slowest up the hills - and down them

However the route is designed so that people can cut off back straight home, especially once we dropped down Leith Hill 8)

Well Amy...... it looks like Andy and I will be joining you as well.

Luckily for you, we are the world experts on how to get from Gatwick to Copthorne! Most routes involve a thrilling dual carriageway section of the A23.

Frankly, I'd avoid it and either go North through Horley and Smallfield or South through Pease Pottage if you have time.
