For those that have not already heard there was an accident this morning on the club ride to westerham, 2 riders were taken to hospital after a pothole took them out.I hope they have a speedy recovery and should the injured parties be worried about their bikes I have them safely stashed, they can contact me via the forum.

The outcome is that Monty has got a fractured collarbone and Paul Brown unfortunately broke a bone in his leg (again!) though I don't think it's as bad as first feared....or sounded!! Paul tried to jump a big pothole which was diificult to pick out as it was full of water and was on a fast descent. Inspecting the damage, a five inch section of his rear wheel had broken away, so must have taken most of the impact. I'm just glad that I'm a crap descender, so was 30-40 metres behind the accident (though my computer still read 55 kph!).
Very best wishes to Paul and Monty for getting back to full fitness a.s.a.p.

Oh no - I miss a week from the forum and then this happens !

Sorry to hear about the crash Monty and Paul.
Particularly sorry about the leg (again) Paul. Get well soon.

Hopefully you've got your accidents out of the way now for 2004 !
