S.E WOMEN'S TIME TRIAL SERIES 18 July, 2.00pm MARSHALS

MARSHALS
We may need another Marshal or 2 as some of these are a bit speculative!
We also need more cakes?

Currently I think I have:
Tim Coales Time Keeper (maybe)
David Stott
Bridget Malarkey
Alan Malarkey
Claire Browse
John Avery
Simon Lythgoe
Rob Royle-Evatt Pusher 1
Andy Knight
Chris Lambert
Matthew Radford
Dell Cobb
John Diamond
Amy (cakes etc.)

But I need 12 marshals in all and potentially help and cakes for the HQ which is St John's CofE Primary School - right near the start.

Since it is a late start it can be combined with the club run and I'll ride over steadily from Charlwood cafe arriving there on the club run and leaving to arrive at the start around 1.pm

Claire needs a lift from Croydon and Tim Coales has kindly offered - maybe others need or have transport to share?

We'll update on specific tasks at the briefing which I think can happen asap after 1.00pm

Alan, that's the wrong strava link. The one below is the course/segment from when I towed Paul around the Redmon GP (if it works, not sure if there are privacy permissions on it). They used it as an alternative due to roadworks but I believe they are switching to it full time from this year.

I quite liked it, the fast blast through Ockley is always fun, the SC section back up the A24 on your way home is a bit testing.

Thanks for organising, looking forward to it.

Thanks, the link was from the SEWTTS payment link - I'm unsure whether it is for me to inform people of the route but I bow to your wisdom on this and hope the organisers are aware, A

The course code and details are in the CTT handbook and in their website, it's up to the rider entering to know which course they are entering on .Bex has just put the wrong one in her website.

Organisers should have a risk assessment and course description sent to them in a promoter's pack from the District. If you don't have these drop Paul Tunnel an email as he is/was involved in district TTs. This gives you all the required marshal points and the red tape wording you have to include on the startsheet plus a copy of the sign in sheet you need to use that had the insurance/legal disclaimer on it.

If you want a hand once you have passed the closing date and have all the entries give me a call and I can pop round.

I've got a copy of the promoter's pack. I'll do signs and SRA.

Timekeepers are Frank Cubis and Mike Labram.

I thought the finish was just after Beare Green but it's right up near North Holmwood. Didn't spot that Bex had the wrong course. When I was arranging last year, there aren't many courses you can use on a Saturday afternoon.

I've just checked and we do need to supply cake for the event. As it's such short notice, just wondering if most of the marshals could bring along an item - doesn't have to be homemade

Closed with 41 entries so no need to feed the army of hungry testers you get for the 25.

Low numbers as a semi sporting non standard distance, as it's a SEWTTS event half the field are women... So plenty of chocolate :) . I'll get me coat.

Phew. Not so bad then.... So if a couple of marshals could let me know if and what they can bring, I may not have to go into baking overdrive this week.

I think I've known more blokes that are chocoholics than women.

If people have a preferred role then that might be handy. If you wonder what a role involves then we have this handy guide: http://www.addiscombe.org/marshalling/

I'll be on hand at the HQ to answer any questions.

If I manage to get the software working in time, then someone to act as finish recorder with an Android phone and a sense of danger would be useful. I can probably borrow Debs' one though.

Not sure if you're still short of a marshall or two Alan, but if you are, then you can put me down.

Thanks,
Simon
