After last week and what with the wind, it felt too much of a struggle to do anything other than the 16s. Quite amused to find those who'd arrived before me sheltering under the bike shelter - it was barely mizzling!
Didn't feel up to going round the full route so Alex and I kept on Partridge. Alex said something about having to get back before storm Katie arrived which was why he took the Partridge route but actually I think it's so he can have even longer to natter before having to come back as we still left after nearly everybody else

Highlight of the ride, apart from Alex making me feel quite strong and fit in comparison

was the kite that literally flew just overhead - and I'm talking one of these - not the sort with string and a small child attached

Nice coming back with a select band of riders bowling along with the wind behind

Bit of pause at Reigate Common while Bridget and Alex helped a guy with his cleat? So what is custom-built steel frame in Spanish?
