Sunday CR 6 Jan

On road, off road, round in a big circle or down to the coast, we do the lot. We don't just do it at all speeds and for all levels, we do it Agreeably as well!

I swear that was an acc top under my waterproff!

Cheers Del for the ride, well done Matt I was watching you on some of the climbs :)

Sorry I suddenly parted way after the big tree (!!) and went up Whitedown with Gabor (guy in orange) and his mate, aim was to meet you up again on Box Hill - which I did with the depleted group (just Dombo and Ant!)

Nice spin with Del's group as far as the turn off towards Leith Hill. I was suffering with a bit of deli-belly so decided against the hills and carried on when they turned right and then took a left to Leigh. I passed Marcus going the other way, I see aiming to catch Amy, and we exchanged hellos, hope you caught the group.

For the record I had on an old Addiscombe winter jersey, Addiscombe cap under my helmet, and yellow oversocks :D . For those worrying about "looking good" it's not your kit, you could stick David Millar in bin liners and he'd still be one of the most classy looking riders you'll see on a bike :) .

I saw Ben atop Boxhill wearing a similar Jersey I think.

Never saw Marcus... Didn't see his text till sitting in the cafe outside Cobham

Saw someone in Addiscombe kit and shorts... going towards Rykas whom I could've sworn had been with Del's group.

It was a good ride today with Dell's group. Going up those climbs was worth the effort, going down towards Peaslake was really fun... although the potholes and the fog didn't help!! Decided to go through Reigate instead of going over Box Hill as some of us had to get back early (excuses excuses!! :) )

[quote="Sylv"] well done Matt I was watching you on some of the climbs :)

Thanks, that big breakfast paid off!!!!

Very enjoyable ride Today, thanks Dell. Really dodgy visibility in the hills and I could have done with mini windscreen wipers, on the specs but at least it was dry. A mention for the excellent shop/cafe in Peaslake, with great baked goods 8) Rapido service and a nice cuppa!

Cheers all

Thanks guys.

Great ride today, despite the mist. Must be the first time a Club Run has involved climbing over a tree. Raikes Lane is a bit of a mess.

I can confirm that  looked superb in his retro Addiscombe top!

And that young Matt was climbing like a demon!!

Did Ben make it back up to you lot? He was off the back, caught by lights and you were nowhere to be seen by the time my little group turned into the Chipstead valley road.

Yep, Ben made it back.

Ben likes to take it easy on Sundays and can often be found stuck at lights or somewhere behind us.

We managed to lose him completely last year, somewhere in the wilds of Tandridge!

Hey Del (and all who were out on Sunday Jan6th),

Just today managed to get registered on the forum, but wanted to say thanks for my first ride with Addiscombe. Won't be the last.
Got separated from the various groups around Dorking and pottered back to Crystal Palace via Epsom and Ewell...clocking 61miles for the day.

Anyhow, thanks all for waiting while I fixed my puncture at the cafe (sod's law, brand new gatorskins but first puncture in months...out of practice!).

Looking forward to more rides in the coming months.

Cheers,

Sam
