UPDATED: Sunday CR 31 Mar and 7 Apr

On road, off road, round in a big circle or down to the coast, we do the lot. We don't just do it at all speeds and for all levels, we do it Agreeably as well!

I'm riding the Tour of Flanders sportive this weekend and then away on business the following weekend.

So, I'm looking for someone to sort out a route for the Sunday CR for the next two weekends.

Tony Couttie organised yesterday's CR, so a big thanks there. I bailed out after leaving home in the middle of a snowstorm and gusty headwind. A rather big chapeau to the group that headed out anyway from CSS.

So, 9:30 is the departure time as ever. Please post up on this thread if you're happy to plan the route.

Respect for coming down to explain in person Del! I know I wouldn't have bothered if it were me :D

We had a good ride over to Tonbridge. Didn't plan going that far east but Rich screwed it up by attacking on the Markbeech climb which meant we missed our turning and in the process got us a wee bit lost!! It was a bitterly cold wind around the back of Penshurst but we finally got the benefit of a tail wind when we reached Four Elms.

I'm not around this Sunday or next otherwise I would have been happy to lead another excursion.!

Don't forget, that being Easter Day, there won't be anywhere open for tea and cake.

So, a change of plans for this Sunday.

I'm not in Flanders after all!

So. I'll see you at CSS this Sunday at 9.30.

Andy went down ill this week and hasn't recovered.

It's a tough ride to do if you're not right, especially in this weather. So we both cancelled. It's along way to go to ride by yourself!

Matt. You've no idea how close you came to having an accident today taking off your rain jacket mid bunch while doing 25 mph plus. The sleeve was battering your spokes as it flapped around. If it had got caught you would have had a nasty fall, possibly taking someone else with you as well. I backed off from your back wheel and left myself plenty of space to avoid you had this happened. I did shout to warn but you didn't hear me.

I'm not having a go, just warning you of what could have happened. I'd hate to see anyone having a silly avoidable accident.Next time wait till you can do it safely. :D

Cheers

Ant.

Nice to see that the ACC Sunday riders are a chivalrous lot, with a "ladies first" policy as Katie set the pace up the hill in Westerham. :D

Ha Haaa! you saw us Keith?! We had a lovely ride, just 6 of us, me, Steve, Ben, Ant, Robyn and Peter.
We all stuck together and invented the route as we went with Robyn insisting on a start including the descent past Fanny's. It was warm enough (at last) for a cafe stop at Four Elms for Belgium buns, then back up past Chartwell and through Westerham..
We all bombed down Beddlestead and I limped up Hessiers then parted for home and Paris Roubaix
Warmest ride this year :P :D :) :D :P !
